Chilean midfielder Mauricio Isla has denied that Udinese are on the verge of selling him to Juventus.
The in-demand versatile footballer has been strongly linked with a switch to the other Bianconeri this summer, whilst his agent even recently suggested that Udinese wanted to sell him, [12] with the Turin outfit named as an interested party.
This week saw the links progress further, with Zebrette sporting director Fabrizio Larini’s confirmation that negotiations ‘are advanced’. [13]
However, the 23-year-old Isla, who is currently recovering from serious knee damage, turned to social networking website Twitter to offer his viewpoint.
“Friends, as I write, please notice that I have not yet signed with Juventus or another team. I know of the reports, but I will be the first to notified,” he posted, echoing a similar denial the previous day. [14]
