Gigi Buffon is due to make his return from injury this evening after almost seven months out of action.
The 32-year-old shot stopper required major corrective surgery after he suffered a reoccurrence of a back injury while preparing for Italy's match against Paraguay in the World Cup.
Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri has promised to work Buffon back into the team gradually and will start the Italy international in this evening's Coppa Italia clash with Catania.
Buffon last appeared in Serie A 243 days ago on May 15, 2010 when Juventus pulled the curtain down on last season against Milan.
Del Neri insists his decisions will be purely meritocratic and that the 'keeper who performs best in training will get the starting berth.
Marco Storari has continued to impress as Buffon's stand-in. He was arguably the best Juventus player in their recent defeats to Napoli and Parma.
