Antonio Di Natale admits he “still remembers” the penalty he missed against Spain in Euro 2008, so this was a special goal for him.
“I am happy, as after a few minutes I scored, Andrea (Pirlo) gave me a great pass and I did well to make the most of it,” he told Rai Sport after a 1-1 draw with Spain.
The Udinese striker was on the bench, but replaced Mario Balotelli and scored with his first touch.
“The Coach makes the choices and when I get the chance, I give my all.
“I still remember the penalty I missed against Spain, so that was particularly a great moment for me. Spain have wonderful champions, as do we, so it was a fascinating game.”
