Alessandro Diamanti is being linked with a move to Zenit St Petersburg after winning the praise of boss Luciano Spalletti.
The player’s future is up for discussion given that he is co-owned between present club Bologna and Brescia, but he’s caught the eye of other sides after his efforts in the 2011-12 campaign.
“Diamanti is a player with great technical quality,” Spalletti is quoted as saying. “I like him a lot. They say he is valued at €12m and, in my opinion, he is worth every penny.”
The former West Ham player is currently on international duty with Italy at the 2012 European Championships.
The 29-year-old, who has won just one cap, scored seven goals in 30 League games for the Dall’Ara outfit this term.
