Genoa have reportedly agreed to take full ownership of defender Francesco Acerbi from Chievo, in order to sell him to Milan.
The Grifone’s Pietro Lo Monaco and Stefano Capozucca met with Chievo’s Giovanni Sartori on Tuesday in Milan to discuss the in-demand 24-year-old’s future, as both clubs held a 50 per cent stake in his contract.
Pianetagenoa1893.net are suggesting that from this encounter they have agreed for Acerbi’s complete registration to be returned to Genoa before the June 22 deadline for co-ownership renewals in Italy, with the intention from the Rossoblu to then move him on to Milan.
Acerbi has been part-owned by Genoa for 18 months all told, but hasn’t played for them in that time. However, his form for Chievo last term has been enough to attract the interest of the Rossoneri and, reportedly, also a late, unsuccessful bid from Juventus.
