Parma have retracted an earlier statement on their official website [12] confirming the transfer of Sebastian Giovinco to Juventus.
Reports through the day [13] have pointed to the expected completion today or tomorrow of Juve’s €11m purchase of Parma’s 50 per cent stake in the player, whilst the 25-year-old’s agent also confirmed that the deal is practically complete. [14]
A statement on the Ducali’s official site looked to have rubberstamped the deal, but as a later statement confirmed, it was posted in error.
“Parma announce that contrary to what appeared for a few seconds on their official website, they have not reached an agreement with Juventus for their share of Sebastian Giovinco.
“Fcparma.com apologises for the incorrect statement.”
