Around 2,200 Italy fans are expected in the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, though there are a predicted 10,000 England supporters.
The figure of 2,200 is an improvement on expectations in the Azzurri camp , as until yesterday morning only around 1,000 tickets had been sold from Italy’s allocation.
They will still be vastly out-numbered by English fans, as around 10,000 are thought to have tickets for tonight’s Euro 2012 quarter-final.
It is possible even more are in the city hoping to get a last-minute entry.
The Italy side hope neutrals in Kiev will be cheering them on this evening, as England knocked Ukraine out of the group phase with a controversially disallowed potential equaliser.
