Davide Astori says that he’s waiting to hear what Cagliari intend to do with him given the interest in his services.
“I had a meeting in the week with President Massimo Cellino about my future,” the Italian international, who just missed out on Euro 2012, stated.
“There are a few possibilities, so I expect that the President will opt to do what is right for myself and for his club.
“I, nevertheless, have faith in Cagliari.”
Astori has been linked with the likes of Zenit St Petersburg and CSKA Moscow, clubs who have more financial muscle than many Italian sides right now.
“I can only say that it is cold in Russia,” Astori, an accomplished centre-back, smiled.
