Sky Sport 24 believe that Mathieu Flamini has signed a one-year extension to his Milan contract.
The Frenchman was a free agent this summer after seeing his previous, high-cost deal with the Rossoneri run to its conclusion.
After four relatively unsuccessful years at San Siro for the former Arsenal man, due in no small part to a succession of injuries, he was expected to move on for next term.
However, reports in recent weeks suggested a change of heart from both the player and club, and as Sky Sport 24 claim today, that has resulted in a new deal being agreed.
Flamini is believed to have signed on for one more season at Milanello, at a reduced annual salary of €1.6m, which would be €2.9m less than his previous wage with the Diavolo.
Reports earlier today were contradictory to this latest development, as most outlets ran with the line that the club and player had spoken for the last time, with Flamini set to move on, and Roma named as the latest interested party.
