Roma are in talks with Genoa about signing Siena striker Mattia Destro, the Tuscan club have revealed.
Destro is co-owned between Siena and Genoa, but a summer move is expected after his 12 Serie A goals this term.
“We haven’t had any contact with Roma, but we know that there has been a discussion with Genoa and negotiations are taking place,” Siena sporting director Stefano Antonelli told Centro Suono Sport.
“There are a diverse number of clubs with value who have been in touch, from Italy and abroad, for the player.
“In Italy, there is Roma, Inter and Juventus, but time is needed to understand how the situation could evolve.”
Genoa had previously admitted a preference to sell the Italian Under-21 international to Inter.
