Atalanta have appointed Pierpaolo Marino as their director general for the next five years, aiming to continue the work he did at Napoli and Udinese.
The transfer guru was already working in Bergamo last season as technical director, but has been promoted to leading the club strategy.
Marino found success at Napoli and then Udinese, so he hopes to bring a long-term project to the Orobici, who already have one of the strongest youth academies in Italy.
He specialises in tracking down promising young players at a low cost.
