Andres Iniesta is the top challenger to Andrea Pirlo to be named MVP of Euro 2012, but insists he “never thought about playing for personal credit.”
The Final is between Spain and Italy on Sunday, so the two players go head-to-head.
“I've never thought about playing for personal credit. I do not think I am the most valuable player. I feel that what will make me happy is to lift the trophy,” said Iniesta.
“In football everything is relative - it does not matter who stars and who does not.
“Claudio Marchisio has had a good tournament, Pirlo also. I do not know who the MVP should be and I really do not care.”
