Sinisa Mihajlovic was ecstatic at Fiorentina's draw in Naples. “We put in a great performance and only lacked a goal.”
The Viola had arguably the better chances in their 0-0 at the Stadio San Paolo this evening, stalling the team currently in second place.
“We put in a great performance without allowing Napoli too much space,” said the Coach.
“We created many scoring opportunities against a very strong side and we only lacked a goal, especially in the first half.
“We have to continue along this path for the rest of the season.”
Mihajlovic surprised the fans by replacing star striker Alberto Gilardino with youngster Khouma Babacar.
“Gila did very well and fought hard, but he was tired and I needed a player like Babacar who could be quick on the counter.”
