It is reported that Valon Behrami will complete his transfer to Fiorentina on Monday, handing West Ham €4m.
The former Lazio full-back has been repeatedly linked with a return to Serie A and the Hammers are prepared to sell.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina have leapt in front of Roma and Juventus in the race to sign the Swiss international.
It's claimed so far the Viola have offered €3.5m compared to the €5m price-tag, but the deal should be struck for around €4m.
Fiorentina have also been linked with Glasgow Rangers hitman Kenny Miller, who is ready to leave Scotland at the age of 31.
The latest suggestions are that Brescia have intercepted negotiations to line up their own bid for Miller.
However, if he did go to the Rondinelle, it would release Andrea Caracciolo to join Fiorentina.
