Newly promoted Torino held talks with the representative of Catania striker Maxi Lopez on Wednesday morning.
“We spoke about Maxi,” agent Andrea D’Amico told Sky Sport Italia. “Torino are very interested in him, but the situation needs to be clarified and handled by Catania.
“The player is very popular on the market and it is only normal that teams are thinking about him. We are only at a very early stage, though, as the two clubs will have to reach an agreement first.”
The Argentine started the last campaign at Catania, before joining Milan on loan in January. The Rossoneri opted against signing him outright at the end of the 2011-12 season.
