Matias Silvestre’s expected transfer from Inter to Palermo looks to have hit a snag in negotiations, as Giorgio Perinetti updates on the situation.
With Brazilian centre-back Lucio departing the Nerazzurri last week, they were expected to quickly wrap up a deal for Argentine defender Silvestre.
Yesterday saw director Marco Branca confirm that talks for the former Catania man would be held today, but as the Rosanero’s sporting director Perinetti revealed, those have not advanced the possibility of a transfer.
“We are still far from an agreement for Silvestre,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday.
“There is currently nothing new and there have been no developments.”
