New Palermo boss Giuseppe Sannino says he has no problem with the decision to sell Matias Silvestre to Inter.
The Nerazzurri are set to officially announce the defender’s capture after a reported fee of €8.5m was agreed between the two clubs.
“Silvestre is an important player,” Sannino, who joined the Sicilians this summer from Siena, told Sport Italia.
“Palermo are a leading team, but it is only right for a club like ours to allow a player to leave when a big outfit like the Nerazzurri make an offer for him.”
Silvestre, 27, is a former Catania and Boca Juniors stopper who could officially become an Inter player on Friday.
