Free agent Cesare Natali has revealed a desire to re-join Bologna after he was released by Fiorentina.
“There should be some contact with Bologna soon, but I hope that I will have an offer from them to evaluate by the end of the week,” he told the Resto del Carlino.
“I had a happy spell at Bologna in the past and I am attracted by the idea of a return. I have many happy memories and I was called up into the national squad while there.”
The 33-year-old spent the 2003-04 campaign at the Stadio Dall’Ara after his transfer from hometown club Atalanta.
The centre-back has also played for Udinese and Torino in his career. He was linked with Milan earlier this year given their eagerness to sign players on Bosman deals.
Natali scored two goals in 35 League games for the Viola last term.
