Roma have reached an agreement with Genoa to sign Greek youngster Panagiotis Tachtsidis on a co-ownership basis.
The 21-year-old has been specifically requested this summer by Coach Zdenek Zeman, who was left impressed whilst in charge of Pescara last term by Tachtsidis’ performances on loan at Hellas Verona in Serie B.
Subsequently, the Giallorossi are thought to have closed on an agreement with his owners Genoa to take the player to the capital, initially on a co-ownership basis.
Part of the deal is thought to involve Roma handing over to the Grifone 50 per cent of young midfielder Andrea Bertolacci, who spent last term out on loan at Lecce.
The deal is subject only to both players passing medicals and Bertolacci first signing a new contract with Roma, because his current one expires next summer.
