Inter centre-back Walter Samuel has called for his fellow senior teammates to help the new arrivals and younger members of the team acclimate.
The Argentine gave an interview to Inter Channel and also spoke about the team’s summer training methods.
“The training retreat is going very well. Now we have another hard day of training before the next friendly in Rovereto. Physically, I’m doing well, despite my old age,” the 34-year-old noted tongue-in-cheek
Samuel spoke of the need for the team to not lose its identity, despite many changes at the club, including the arrivals of Samir Handanovic and Palermo’s Matias Silvestre.
“We must be ourselves,” he warned. “There have been a few changes in the squad, and now there are many young players.
“We, on our part, look to help them and each other to win the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and the Europa League.
“Are we too busy? We’ve always been busy. Now we have a new group but that must not change.”
