Speculation is that as part of the negotiations taking Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain, Milan have asked for Marco Verratti.
Silva and Ibrahimovc stand on the verge of a joint €62m transfer to the high-spending French club this weekend, whilst Italian midfielder Verratti’s own expected move to the capital has been delayed.
This has led to rumours, as Il Giorno have it, that the Rossoneri have asked PSG to pull out of their proposed €14m move for the 19-year-old so that they could talk to him instead.
It is suggested that permitting Milan to talk to the Pescara player, who has been a target for Juventus and Napoli too, was specifically requested as part of PSG’s move for Silva and Ibrahimovic.
