Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola has just finished a third day of negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible transfer from Milan.
After the Rossoneri accepted PSG’s reported €62m bid for the striker and his teammate Thiago Silva, Ibra’s representative Raiola has been locked in talks in Paris with sporting director Leonardo.
Negotiations were initially believed to have seen the two parties agree to a compromise between the €9m-a-season four-year deal offered and the €14m wage the player wanted with a three-year offer of €13m a year.
However, a third day of talks have ended on Saturday with the topic of discussion reportedly still on the structure of the 30-year-old’s wages, in response to France’s proposed changes to their taxation structure.
With the new President Nicolas Hollande proposing a 75 per cent rate on all annual salaries above the €1m mark, Raiola has reportedly been pressing PSG for an understanding that would ensure the striker was not hit hard by this. A conclusion has apparently not been reached yet, with a fourth day of talks set for Monday.
Silva’s agent revealed earlier today that he and the defender have yet to even begin their contract negotiations with the Ligue 1 outift, but reports believe that the PSG team doctor has left the club's pre-season base to travel out to Brazil to hold the centre-back's medical examination.
