Inter have left Julio Cesar, Giampaolo Pazzini and Douglas Maicon out of the Trofeo TIM, fuelling reports of a summer exit.
The three players will not only miss out on tonight’s pre-season mini-tournament against Juventus and Milan, but also most likely the Europa League preliminary round.
The Nerazzurri are already in preparation for the qualifiers, which will be on August 2 and 9 against the winners of Hajduk Split-FC Skonto Riga.
The UEFA squad list for those games must be handed in by July 27.
Julio Cesar and Pazzini were already known to be on the market, but Maicon has also been dropped from the summer matches.
This fuels reports of his intention to be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
It was rumoured over the weekend that Maicon has turned down a big money move to Russian club Anzhi because he is holding out for the Merengues.
There are also suggestions in La Gazzetta dello Sport that Inter will agree to switch so they play the first leg away rather than at home if Hajduk Split are their opponents.
Inter squad for the Trofeo TIM: Vid Belec, Luca Castellazzi, Samir Handanovic; Matteo Bianchetti, Cristian Chivu, Jonathan, Ibrahima Mbaye, Yuto Nagatomo, Andrea Ranocchia, Walter Samuel, Matias Silvestre; Javier Zanetti, Marco Benassi, Esteban Cambiasso, Fredy Guarin, Yago Del Piero, Simone Pasa; Philippe Coutinho, Samuele Longo, Diego Milito, Rodrigo Palacio, Francesco Forte.
