Philippe Coutinho has credited Coach Andrea Stramaccioni for his transformation at Inter. “I am doing well because he has faith in me.”
The Brazilian spent the last six months on loan at Espanyol and earned a recall to San Siro, where he is flourishing in pre-season.
“I am doing well because Stramaccioni has faith in me,” smiled the 20-year-old after he was named MVP in last night’s Trofeo TIM.
“We were well set out on the field and it was a good test. I put myself out on the left and ensured I was ready when the Juventus defence got distracted.”
Coutinho hopes he can be joined by fellow Brazilian Lucas this season.
“Of course I hope he can come, as he is a champion, but I am not the one who makes these decisions. The transfer strategy is dictated by the club.”
