Italy boss Cesare Prandelli will reportedly be keeping a close eye on Juventus’ Paolo De Ceglie this season.
According to Tuttosport, Prandelli is looking for new left-back options ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
De Ceglie did catch the eye of Prandelli towards the end of last season until he was injured in the closing months of the campaign.
The 25-year-old, who can also be used as a wing-back, is a product of the Juventus youth system.
He won 19 caps at Italy Under-21 level – six of those came during a loan spell at Siena, while the other 13 were while he was in Turin.
Prandelli used Federico Balzaretti of Palermo and Juventus centre-back Giorgio Chiellini as a left-back in Euro 2012.
Zenit St Petersburg defender Domenico Criscito was set to go to the competition until he was named in the match fixing betting probe.
