Serie A side Palermo have confirmed the capture of Uruguayan international Egidio Arevalo Rios.
The Stadio Barbera outfit have released a brief note on their website which confirms that the midfielder, currently on London 2012 duty, has signed a three-year deal.
The Rosanero initially showed an interest in the 29-year-old during the January transfer window, but no deal was done.
It is believed that he has cost them around €3m from Mexican club Tijuana.
Rios, who has played for clubs such as Penarol, Danubio and Botafogo, won the 2011 Copa America with his country.
