Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis moaned at the 2012-13 Serie A fixture list. “The final round looks like it was made for Juventus and Milan.”
“The final round looks like it was made for Juventus and Milan. We know that there are children and stepchildren in the Lega,” said the patron.
De Laurentiis famously stormed out of the ceremony last year when he was furious at the big games Napoli had to face near to their Champions League commitments.
“There’s nothing except mistakes. Someone always gets involved and then one has to ask ‘what is behind these calendars?’
“The last round ought to be more balanced for everyone. It is going to be interesting, but unbalanced.
“It’s like there is one class, then the rest have to put up with more and more things. In life I have always seen the glass half-empty.”
De Laurentiis also commented on Napoli’s links with Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic.
“Jovetic will not be at Napoli this season, nor in future. He is a great player looking for a big club, but also for big wages.”
Edinson Cavani’s wife Soledad was mugged in Naples this week, but the President denied this would affect the Uruguayan’s future plans.
“We talked, everything is fine. A mugging can happen to anyone, but Cavani is staying here.”
