Emiliano Viviano is delighted that the saga of his dream move to Fiorentina has basically come to an end.
“I can finally wear the shirt of ‘my’ Viola,” he stated. “It has been a long wait, but I’m now happy. Thank you to everyone.”
The Tuscan club have been trying to sign the goalkeeper for weeks, but doing a deal proved to be problematic.
Viviano was co-owned between Palermo and Inter, but the Nerazzurri were against the idea of loaning him to Tuscany.
As a result, Palermo yesterday agreed a deal to sign the player outright. He’ll now join Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy.
Viviano, who arrived in Florence on Thursday for his medical, is a massive fan of his boyhood club.
