Juventus are reportedly drawing up plans for if they lose Leonardo Bonucci to suspension, with Chievo defender Marco Andreolli topping their list.
It was confirmed earlier this week [12] that Bianconero centre-back Bonucci is facing a deferral for sporting fraud for his alleged involvement the betting scandal to have hit Italy this year.
Should Bonucci be found guilty then he faces a potential lengthy playing ban, which is a prospect that reportedly has his club considering bringing in back-up.
Sky Sport Italia understand that Andrea Ranocchia is unlikely to be released by Inter to the club, so Chievo’s Andreolli, who was also targeted earlier this summer by the Nerazzurri, [13] is understood to top their list.
Andreolli, who has previously played for Roma, was coincidentally at Inter as a youth alongside Bonucci. The 26-year-old is available at a reduced rate this summer, as his contract in Verona only has another 12 months to run.
