Fiorentina have officially signed Matias Fernandez from Sporting Lisbon after he put pen to paper on a four-year contract.
“ACF Fiorentina announce the permanent signing of Matias Ariel Fernandez from Sporting Clube de Portugal,” read a statement.
“The player, born in Buenos Aires on May 15 1986, has played 46 games for Chile and scored 11 goals.”
The 26-year-old midfielder underwent his medical on Friday [12] and is believed to be worth €3m, although Fiorentina will add more to that fee if they qualify for European competition.
