Luis Muriel is looking forward to playing for Udinese alongside Antonio Di Natale. “I can learn so much from him.”
The Colombian striker spent last season on loan at Lecce and impressed enough to earn a recall to the Stadio Friuli.
“I scored seven goals at Lecce. In pre-season with Udinese I’ve already scored 10 and hope to get many more in the campaign itself,” he told the official club website.
“I also hope to play alongside Di Natale, as I can learn so much from him. I will play in whichever position Francesco Guidolin wants me to.
“Guidolin is a great Coach and very honest, as he says things to your face. That is an important thing for a player to know.
“Our target for the season is to get 40 points as quickly as possible, then we’ll see what happens after that. Before then, we’ve got the Champions League preliminary round, which of course is our first thought.”
