Federico Balzaretti has again met with Palermo today and reportedly asked for more time in which to make a decision on his future.
The full-back has been paired with Paris Saint-Germain, Lazio, Roma and Napoli during this transfer market, whilst Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini has also asserted a desire to keep him in Sicily.
Mediagol are reporting tonight that the Italy international, who was a part of the Euro 2012 campaign, has met with Zamparini to request more time in which to consider reported offers from several clubs.
The Vesuviani have reportedly offered €5m against the Giallorossi’s €4.5m offer, whilst Lazio are just behind with a rumoured €4m proposal, but mark that against a contract offer of €1.6m a year, which is said to be €100,000 more than the other two have reportedly put forward.
It is understood that today’s meeting between Palermo and the player, however, also saw the Sicilians propose a two-year contract extension to the player, with the insertion of a future directorial role at the club guaranteed upon retirement.
