Kevin Prince Boateng has given his backing to Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri despite a summer at the club that has seen significant changes take place.
Not only have the 2007 Champions League winners lost veterans like Alessandro Nesta and Clarence Seedorf in a sweeping exodus, but they also sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain.
Boateng, who has inherited the No 10 shirt following the departure of Seedorf to Botafogo, reflected on the activity at San Siro.
“It’s true, our team has changed, it has become younger,” the Ghanaian midfielder told Milan Channel.
“Before, there were great, established champions here, and now we have the task of showing the Coach [Allegri] that we’re here to accomplish things.”
“For him, too, it’s an occasion to create something important and we must follow him.”
