Udinese are in negotiations to sign Mexican Olympic star Javier Aquino, confirmed his agent.
The 22-year-old plays on the right flank at Cruz Azul and is currently challenging for a gold medal with Mexico in the London 2012 Olympics.
According to Mexican media, Aquino’s agent has confirmed talks are continuing for a transfer to Udinese.
The Friulani would be prepared to pay around €3m for the player, although he is then likely to be loaned out to Spanish side Granada.
The Pozzo family own Udinese, Granada and now also English club Watford, so pass players around between these sides to help them gain experience.
