Theo Walcott is the fourth England player to pull out of tomorrow’s friendly against Italy due to injury.
The Football Association confirmed this afternoon that Arsenal man Walcott has been ruled out of the match due to a bruised thigh.
He joins goalkeeper Joe Hart (back problem), Daniel Sturridge (toe) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (ankle) in missing out.
Manager Roy Hodgson called up Joleon Lescott, but it’s unclear if he will also bring in another new player considering Walcott’s injury.
The match is played in Swiss town Berne on Wednesday, kick-off 20.00 UK time.
