Pescara will re-ignite their interest in Lazio’s Sergio Floccari after the newly promoted side hit difficulties in landing Emanuele Calaio.
The Siena striker had leapt to the top of the club’s wish-list as they look for a player to replace Ciro Immobile, last season’s Serie B top scorer, in attack.
However, the Corriere dello Sport is now suggesting that the Delfini have reverted their attention back to Floccari.
The forward is available for transfer after returning to the capital this summer following a loan spell at Parma.
The 30-year-old scored eight goals in 28 League games for the Stadio Tardini outfit, but it wasn’t enough for him to be signed outright.
Torino, Bologna and Atalanta have also been paired with the Italian.
