The Gazzetta dello Sport is today speculating that Inter and Napoli could complete a swap deal involving Giampaolo Pazzini and Walter Gargano.
Pazzini is available for transfer after being told that he can not co-exist in the same first team as Diego Milito.
Juventus and Milan have been paired with the Italian international, but the Azzurri could make an offer for him.
Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri knows the player relatively well given their past together at previous club Sampdoria.
As part of any potential deal, Uruguayan Gargano may move in the opposite direction as there are doubts about whether he will be a first team regular at the San Paolo this season.
Inter are known to be looking for a tough-tackling central midfielder.
