Napoli sensation Lorenzo Insigne will be targeting around seven goals in his first Serie A campaign, his agent has stated.
The 21-year-old has returned to parent club Napoli this summer after spells on loan at Foggia and then Pescara.
Having netted 18 goals in Serie B last term, the versatile attacker will be content with just under half that amount this time around.
“To score seven or eight goals in Serie A would be an important total,” agent Fabio Andreotti told Radio CRC. “He’ll also be looking for at least 17 appearances.
“It all depends on how the championship and the Cup games go for the Azzurri, but especially on what the Coach decides.”
Insigne is back at the San Paolo after the outfit sold Ezequiel Lavezzi to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
“Napoli have a squad which allows them to play in a variety of ways,” the representative continued. “I think that Insigne can play in a trident along with Goran Pandev and Edinson Cavani.
“But this is a fans’ opinion from someone who loves the three-forward module.”
Insigne could start in the Week 1 game at Palermo because Pandev is suspended following his dismissal in the Italian Super Cup Final versus Juventus.
