Sampdoria President Riccardo Garrone reacted coyly to reports linking Giampaolo Pazzini with a move to Italian champions Inter.
Earlier this week, Inter's chief technical director Marco Branca revealed that he is looking to reinforce the club's injury plagued forward line.
Inter President Massimo Moratti then told reporters that inquiries would be made about Pazzini and Cagliari striker Alessandro Matri.
Asked about the Pazzini speculation, Garrone said: "No, I won't talk about Giampaolo.
"What do I have to say to you?"
He then smiled and concluded by saying: "There are still five days until the end of the market."
