Riccardo Montolivo has welcomed new teammate Giampaolo Pazzini to Milan in the swap with Antonio Cassano. “We’ve been friends for many years.”
Inter striker Pazzini arrived at the Milanello training ground today for his medical, as an exchange with Cassano looks set to be completed this evening.
“As a person he’s splendid and we’ve been friends for many years,” Montolivo told Milan Channel.
“Together we won the Coppa Italia Primavera with the Atalanta youth team, playing together for that club, at Fiorentina, in the Under-21 Italy side and for the Nazionale.
“It will be wonderful if he arrives. Pazzini has done well in all the teams he played for. He is a fox in the box, very strong in the air and helps his sides to play well.
“It’s wonderful to meet up here, at the club with the most trophies in the world, especially as I feel our squad is missing a player precisely like him.”
