Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis insists he will only sign the best players available to the club on the transfer market.
Earlier today, Napoli announced the signing of Espanyol's highly-rated centre-back Victor Ruiz.
"I will keep my promises," De Laurentiis said. "Soon I will announce the signings, which are more or less what you have imagined.
"The best left-sided defender on the market is on his way. I am sincere when I made promises. I never go back on them.
"I am not a conjurer. I don't want to create a sensation among the fans. I work for them. I don't make a show.
"I said that I would reinforce the defence and the defence has been reinforced."
