Napoli could hijack Genoa’s bid to sign Omar El Kaddouri from Serie B side Brescia, according to reports.
The Grifone had moved into pole position for the 21-year-old who has less than a year left on his contract in Lombardy.
Genoa are ready to sign the Belgian with the help of a promise from Milan who would then net a 50 per cent share in him from the Marassi outfit during January.
However, stories on Friday are claiming that Napoli are also monitoring the player’s situation with a view to making a bid of around €3m.
Parma and Juventus had previously shown interest in him earlier this summer.
