Genoa have confirmed that they have agreed to sell Davide Biondini to Atalanta. “It was a painful decision.”
After previously insisting this week that the midfielder was going nowhere, the Rossoblu have revealed that he has left the club.
“We’ve had to try and cut down our squad,” sporting director Stefano Capozucca stated. “In this sense, we’ve had to make painful decisions like letting Biondini go.
“He’s a player with temperament and the kind of character that we would never have really wanted to sell.”
The 29-year-old moved to Marassi in January from Serie A side Cagliari. The Italian has also played for the likes of Cesena, Vicenza and Reggina.
