Modibo Diakitè has still not reached a contract agreement with Lazio, fuelling reports of a Juventus bid. “Anyone who wants the player must talk to the club,” said his agent.
The defender’s current deal expires next summer and negotiations have failed to find a breakthrough.
“I won’t talk about figures,” agent Ulisse Savini told LaLazioSiamoNoi.
“We are not accustomed to holding talks via the newspapers. Anyone who wants the player must talk to the club.
“Also, anyone who thinks there is another club behind the problems does not know the transparent way Diakitè and his agents do business.”
Nonetheless, there had already been rumours of a link with Juventus and those have escalated rapidly over the last 12 hours.
