Italy boss Cesare Prandelli has re-iterated that he is keeping a close eye on Napoli sensation Lorenzo Insigne.
The forward, 21, caught the attention of many on loan at Pescara last season and has impressed since his return to parent club Napoli in the summer.
“Insigne did really well last season at Pescara,” the CT noted. “We are following his form, as well as that of numerous other players.
“Insigne is a player who has a lot of talent and he has the capacity to be in the right place at the right time in front of goal.”
Insigne has been likened to Juventus’ Sebastian Giovinco in the past and the latter is a doubt for Italy’s September World Cup qualifiers because of injury.
Insigne is a stable part of the Italian Under-21 side.
