Philippe Coutinho is convinced that he will be able to demonstrate his skills at Inter despite the arrival of Antonio Cassano.
The latter has joined the club from city rivals Milan and he’ll now provide extra competition for the Brazilian youngster.
“I'm relaxed about it all, Cassano has come in and I'm happy about it,” the attacking midfielder noted.
“He's a great player and it’s a positive signing. Personally, I just try to do my job and give everything on the pitch. I hope to keep improving and learning all the time.”
The South American has returned to San Siro this summer after spending the last six months of 2011-12 on loan at Espanyol.
Earlier this week, promising Inter youngster Samuele Longo made the same move given the lack of first team opportunities at the Stadio Meazza.
“I told Samuele that he can improve a lot at Espaynol,” Coutinho added. “I was made to feel really welcome and I'm sure they'll do likewise with him because he's an excellent footballer.”
