Sampdoria have officially signed midfielder Enzo Maresca from Malaga for an undisclosed fee.
The former Olympiacos and Sevilla man returns to Serie A for the first time since 2005, when he left Fiorentina for La Liga.
The one-time Italy Under-21 international has joined the Bluerchiati for a fee thought to be around €1.5m, with Malaga shrouded in financial difficulties.
The club have confirmed that the 32-year-old is already training with the squad, and could be involved on Sunday as Sampdoria host Siena.
