Francesco Totti hailed “the perfect game” as Roma conquered Inter and revealed a bet he made with Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.
“It was the perfect game from a complete Roma, which is what we needed to beat a side like Inter,” he said of the 3-1 victory at San Siro.
“I think we faced it the right way and won deservedly. I feel in good shape and when the team is playing well, everything becomes easier.”
Totti’s inspired assist helped Osvaldo to score the goal of the game, a lob over Luca Castellazzi.
“We had made a bet beforehand that either he or I would score. I’m just glad that one of us managed to get goals for the win.
“It is easy at Roma to get too enthusiastic or too downhearted, so we must keep our feet on the ground.”
