Roma’s Daniele De Rossi will respond to the Italy call of boss Cesare Prandelli despite picking up an injury.
“How am I feeling? I’m so, so,” he noted after being replaced in the 3-1 win at Inter on Sunday night. “However, I will turn up for national duty.”
The midfielder, who rejected a summer move to Manchester City, picked up an ankle problem in the first half at San Siro.
Prandelli yesterday named a 25-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Malta [12].
Federico Balzaretti was also included in the squad, but the Roma man is unlikely to play after he picked up a probable thigh muscle strain in the same game.
