It is too soon to ascertain whether Roma will be able to take the Italian championship from Juventus, says boss Zdenek Zeman.
After an opening day draw against Catania, Zeman’s Magica impressed at San Siro by collecting a 3-1 win at Inter on Sunday.
“It’s too early to say that we are Juventus’ title rivals,” the former Pescara boss noted. “We certainly want to play our championship and hope to disturb everyone else. I hope that happens.
“It’s always nice to win by playing well. The team have done well, they won with merit and I’m happy.”
One of the main architects behind the Stadio Meazza victory was captain Francesco Totti who inspired his hometown club to a famous win.
“I’ve been saying that Totti is an important player, a champion, for the last 15 years,” Zeman added. “I’m happy that he’s in good shape and the results underline it.”
